I would strongly advise against choosing the Residences at Arnada in Vancouver, WA for your next apartment. My experience with this complex was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, their disorganization was apparent. They not only took our deposit but also hit us with an additional 400$ charge for supposed “wear and tear.” We were left with no choice but to take legal action through small claims court to resolve this issue. The staff at the Residences at Arnada was consistently unhelpful and seemed disinterested in addressing tenant concerns. Maintenance requests were met with frustrating delays, and it didn’t help that the first maintenance guy quit during our stay. Simple fixes, such as repairing the basic appliances that came with the apartment, took an eternity to complete. To add insult to injury, they piled on extra fees for everything imaginable. Multiple money orders upon lease signing, extra charges for trash, and more. It felt like a nickel-and-dime approach designed to squeeze as much money out of tenants as possible. One leasing agent, Kristin, was particularly rude and unprofessional in her interactions. Additionally, the management’s restrictive move-in and move-out hours made the process needlessly complicated. To make matters worse, the Residences at Arnada mailed the move-out bill to our former address without notifying us via email about the deposit and the charge. This lack of communication only added to the frustration. And if that wasn’t enough, they charged us for an extra three days after we moved out because leasing agent Trysten quit, and they failed to communicate this change to us. Furthermore, the Residences at Arnada had a series of peculiar policies. They did not allow move-outs on weekends and instead charged tenants through the day when they returned to the office, and sometimes even later if they didn’t get around to collecting your key. Adding to the frustration, during our interstate move, they attempted to close the office early, leaving us almost stranded with two dogs and a trailer full of belongings. Lastly, our rent increased by a staggering $200 after just one year, which felt like a slap in the face after enduring such a terrible living experience. In all my years of renting, I have never encountered such a poorly managed and unscrupulous apartment complex. This experience has left a sour taste, and I hope that this review serves as a warning to potential renters. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a more accommodating and ethical living situation.

Spoke with Anna Lopez, NM Regional Manager of PacifiCap Management, Inc. in Albuquerque to schedule a time to view an apartment at El Vado. Arrived at location at arranged time and place, but was met by Natalia, leasing agent, who rudely turned us away. We told her we had a scheduled time and want to see the property, but she replied, “sorry, you’re having a bad day.” Worst customer service and don’t recommend if employees are unwilling to assist or show up to scheduled viewings.

Horrible Management team and a complete lack of business ethics. No one is ever available to take a call, much less handle a dispute. The employees are very unprofessional and demeaning to residents. This company owns properties in Albuquerque that are considered “plague” properties and it’s obvious as to why. They are roach and bed bug infested, full of thugs and drug addicts, hence the syringes on the ground throughout the property, maintenance issues are never completed even after several requests verbal and written are submitted, management treats the tenants as a nuisance and never resolves anything legally (they do things their way or no way) and corporate will not respond. Horrible company to lease a home through.
