I was contacted by a recruiter at Pace Staffing about an opportunity one day on LinkedIn and I replied with interest. It took an entire week for me to get a reply but I was finally contacted back and had a phone interview where I was told I had to interview with a more tenured recruiter at Pace Staffing. During my interview with the older woman recruiter she came across rude asking questions that could easily fallen into an interrogation. I was told that I would hear back about potential next steps or if the client decided to go another direction within a week which was more than a month ago. I happen to know that client is no longer hiring for the role and likely has found someone to fill it, but I’m still waiting for any of the recruiters to let me know which I’m confident that they will not. I’m a local corporate recruiter and I can honestly say that I would never encourage anyone I work for or within my network to use them as an agency. That is just bad business and a sure way to burn bridges.
