What a cool spot with amazing food offerings. We had Raman, cucumber salad, fried chicken and beers. Everything was delicious. Service style is hands off and no nonsense but super efficient, and everything was staged perfectly. Spicy options were just that, but didn’t make anyone uncomfortable, we ordered 3/4 and 4/4 respectively and were very pleased. Gotta’ wonder if there’s a 5/4 option for the true masochists out there.

Not impressed (did I come on a bad day?) The ramen was greasy and the noodles were too chewy. The fried chicken was dry and not much flavor. The cucumber salad was ok. You order by scanning the QR code on the table, and pay while ordering. So how much should you tip? Turns out that there’s not much service – no one asked if the food was ok. And the waitress was so busy that we had to fetch the to-go box ourselves.

You know I actually wasn’t a fan of the Ooink when I visited their Capital Hill location but perhaps they were having an off day because a second visit to this Fremont location has me changing my time. The ramen was really good this time! The noodles were an ideal texture and the broth was the perfect temperature and consistency.
