I was fired by Dev Technology by providing my LOE ( labor cost estimates) on the group chat when the manager John asked for the LOE, this termination was done without my team lead and government supervisor knowing and my government supervisor told me I did nothing wrong by sharing my thoughts, he gave me very high praise though I never talked with him separately before. My team leader later said I should not post the message on the group chat where users (the federal client representatives)present, Means we should not let the federal government users know the real LOE, because I said on the post the function Export commodity will be delayed 3-5 months with the technology changes and looks and feel changes. The function, export commodity, release date was scheduled on Jan but it was not completed yet when I talked with a colleague in early June, I am right saying the LOE but was fired the next day, they wanted to cheat on the contract LOE, that’s the only reason they fired me immediately, I got very high performance reviews for last year and got about 5% salary increases. They fired me 7 days before Christmas and two days before my scheduled vacation trip, and they didn’t pay me for the unpaid vacation because they said they don’t have such unpaid PTO. So all current Dev employees, take as much vacation as possible, if you take one year vacation in advance, they won’t fire you for 10 years. They told me my annual bonus will be paid with my last paycheck of the year, but I was fired on December 18, then I was not got paid at all. I was fired by violating code of conduct of unprofessional communication, so I was not qualified for unemployment benefits. I got another federal government job but failed the background check before I was fired by Dev Technology group, so I can’t get any good jobs which needs background check, Ruining people’s careers and life in such a way, be careful about yours, karma works sometimes.

Best company ever! I have been here almost a year and I LOVE it! My bosses are great and I feel very lucky to be here. Washington TOP Workplace 4 years in a row for a reason! The atmosphere is collaborative, employee-centric and FUN! We are treated very, very well. We work hard, but we are rewarded for our efforts. If you gotta work, this is a great place to be!

There are not many workplaces like Dev. Over the past twenty years, I’ve worked in several professional communities where I was just another employee, just a number in their workforce. At DEV, I feel more valued and cared for than I did in all of these work experiences combined. At DEV, my feedback and opinion is not only considered, but valued. The training I am provided not only supports my work at DEV but supports my growth as an individual. DEV provides an extremely friendly work environment and is always looking to provide employees with greater benefits, education, and even some perks. Collaboration is key and the leadership stays true to their open door policy, always being willing to listen to ideas and opinions and talk through differences. I feel fortunate to have a place at DEV and am not surprised it has been honored in Washington’s Best Places to Work. I wasn’t asked to provide this review, but I wanted to share my positive experience with this great company.
