The lady on the phone kept cutting me off when I was explaining to her why they don’t NEED my SIN number. Clearly scammers. They are not a part of the department of the Employment and Social Development Canada nor are they part of the Social Assistance Benefits. They are simply a third party that has been notified by Ontario Works that someone is in need of help finding a job. The third party employment centres such as this one, are given a package of information about their new client including: your full name, address, phone number and citizenship status. They don’t have your ID card, OHIP or SIN on file. They also are NOT legally required to have this information in order to serve you. They can legally ask BUT you should refuse unless you want your future to be ruined. To find out more, Google the “consequences of giving your SIN to the wrong people”. If you suspect your Social Insurance Number (SIN) has been used fraudulently, report it to Service Canada at 1-866-274-6627 and also file a report with the police and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Lastly, they don’t help you find a job. They help you with resume building, interview skills and interpersonal skills, all of which I do not need help with, and I am not arrogant. I could teach those classes they offer. I’ve been working my whole life but the job market is dead and employers rather get cheap labour than hire the citizens of this country who know their rights. I’m not showing off but I’ve worked for Lululemon, one of the best brands in the WORLD according to Denise Lee Yohn, a consultant, speaker and writer “with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations take their brands to new heights”. -What Great Brands Do So, it’s safe to say that I’M not the problem. The government IS for ruining the lives of hard working Canadians. I rest my case.

Thank you for your help and support during the long process of finding a job. I would like to send out a special thanks to Judith, whose classes are so informative, interactive and fun, as well as Germona who always responds promptly to any requests or issues that arises. What I learned at the Next Steps Employment Centre positioned me as a great potential employee and helped me land my current job. Thanks again!

I had a fantastic experience with Next Steps Employment Centre. The dedicated staff provided exceptional support, boosting my confidence and guiding me throughout. The soft-skills program with Judith was outstanding; her enthusiasm made a real difference. I’m grateful for the updated insights on the Canadian job market, as well as the valuable training and resources offered by the Mississauga Meadowvale location. Special thanks to Judith, Joel, Linette, and the entire team for their professional support. Keep up the great work!
