Avoid This Agency – Unprofessional and Poor Communication
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Nelson Recruitment Services. After completing my role with Capita, I reached out to the agency over the weekend for guidance on the next steps but received no clear response. When I followed up about my payment, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive reply: “Yes, I believe so, why wouldn’t you?”
Later, I found out from my team lead at Capita—not the agency—that my pay was being withheld until my IT equipment was returned, something the agency failed to inform me about. I had to make a long trip from Birmingham to Coventry just to return the laptop, only to then be told my payment would still be delayed. This has left me unable to cover my direct debits, causing unnecessary financial stress.
When I contacted the payroll department, hoping for a resolution, I was met with more unprofessionalism. A representative named Lorraine was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, even going as far as blaming me for the delay, despite the agency’s failure to communicate important information.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Nelson Recruitment Services. Previously, I was assigned to a warehouse role in Lichfield, traveled an hour to the site for a night shift, and was only informed five minutes before my shift started that it had been canceled—without any compensation for my wasted time and expenses.
If you’re considering working with this agency, think twice. Their lack of communication, unprofessional attitude, and complete disregard for their workers make them one of the worst agencies I’ve ever dealt with. I would not recommend them to anyone.
