I was introduced to MI Works in September after the challenging experience of losing my job. During this difficult time, my advocate and case worker, Sarah S, has been an incredible source of support. Not only has she assisted me with my job search and career planning, but she has also been a guiding light for me emotionally. Facing the upheaval of losing my employment has been overwhelming, leaving me feeling like an emotional wreck. Sarah has a remarkable ability to uplift my spirits and inspire me to strive for a better version of myself with every meeting. Her positivity and encouragement mean the world to me. Went down there to address a letter that was sent to me and my husband both names on it and was told it did not concern me and would not talk to me when I asked questions. They had my husband sign a paper that he told them he did not know what it was. It was in English and he is Hispanic. Very very rude people and security was very very rude. I believe that they are supposed to give my husband an interpreter if he doesn’t understand what they are making him sign. State of Michigan should be held accountable.
