I worked with Mandi as well as Josh briefly for a role that was brought to Mforce after the consideration/interview process had already begun internally at their client. While I can respect that taking on a clients search mid-process creates a little chaos there was several missteps and poor quality moves made regardless of that. Please see below for my feedback. – Incorrect and false expectations of the process were set on the first call – The recruiter was not up to speed at what stage I was in the consideration process with the company at the time of our call. – The recruiter did not have my resume or applicable documents on our first call. – I had to regularly request updates from the recruiter whom promised updates on various dates/times but rarely actually met those expectations they set themselves. – it took me reminding the recruiter 3x that they had not sent the interview calendar invite they promised over the course of 4 days – after my interview with the account mgr. (josh) on Thursday I was promised an answer of some fashion by Tuesday, but like much of the rest of my experience I never heard anything and had to ask the recruiter for an update (today) three days later. If you want an organized, responsive agency that you can trust Mforce isn’t it. As an HR professional with current experience in the third party search industry. They need to work on training their candidate recruiters and set higher standards for how they handle candidates as well consistent communication/expectations. Regardless of whether a candidate is selected for hire or further consideration it is the ethical obligation of your agency to meet the expectations that you are setting with your candidates. I certainly shouldn’t hear a recruiter blaming their client for why the process on their end has been poorly which is more or less what was expressed on my call with Josh. It’s never a clean process to pick up a search mid-process but the agency has the power to control it’s candidates experience by knowing what to do and what is needed even if their clients don’t.
