The single most irritating, nefarious and manipulative recruiter I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. I’ve spent the last 8 years (since I left college) in sales environments in the music industry and various industries doing telesales, telemarketing and account management. No call or conversation has left such a sour taste in my mouth. She dropped the call to answer another 3 times during our conversation to which she spent the entire time criticising me without giving me anything to build on then at the end claimed she did not in-fact criticise me despite categorically stating that she was criticising me. She mistook my laid back approach for being somehow unmotivated and “soft” apparently these days you have to borderline harass someone to get a deal. Furthermore, in her moment of superiority she then followed to question my ability’s noted on my CV based on a nonsensical hypothetical question that I asked her to rephrase 3 times only for her to end up asking the same thing. At no point she actually asked me anything that I’ve done regarding my work experience, educational background or personal experiences. It was almost as if she rang me up just have a go at me. She even said “it seems like you don’t need a job”. Honey, if I didn’t need a job I wouldn’t be looking for one. Really didn’t expect to have my entire ethos put into question when I woke up today. Be careful when speaking to her, she will use your words against you, not to try and negotiate a deal and appeal towards your weaknesses but just to belittle you and feed her superiority complex. Unprofessional behaviour of highest order.
