A lovely historic hotel in the center of Halifax. Gorgeous interior superior staff. Our room was huge and so pretty. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was a nice size. Parking on site (for a fee) and is a bit of a hike since it’s in the basement down a hall and out the door Into the garage but it’s covered and accessible through the hotel. Hotel is Directly across from the Public Garden and walkable to the Citadel.

Great old railway style hotel. Beautiful and historic in common areas, with rooms fully renovated and up to date with little kitchens and living areas. Perfect combo. Fun neighborhood, walking distance to all of downtown and waterfront. Easy driving access too. Secure underground parking. Priced really well for our stay. We would easily stay here again.

We had our wedding here last weekend, and the venue was nothing short of magical—timeless, romantic, and absolutely beautiful. We received so many compliments on the food, and the kitchen staff were incredibly attentive to dietary restrictions and allergies. The service was also exceptional; the wait staff were sweet, efficient, and professional. However, during the planning process, communication with the venue was challenging. The coordinator at the time was very slow to respond, often taking weeks to reply to emails and becoming unreachable just a month before our wedding—which caused quite a bit of stress. Thankfully, a new coordinator stepped in shortly before our event, and she was a breath of fresh air: responsive, detail-oriented, and reassuring. We also stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, bright, spacious, and well-appointed with great amenities. Despite the initial planning hiccups, I would still recommend both hosting an event and staying at this hotel. My hope is that with the new coordinator in place, future couples will have a much smoother planning experience.
