The BBB allowed Stan’s weeks to respond, to not answer basic questions, and have kept Stan’s rating as an A+. When I asked how it is possible that Stan’s still has an A+ I was told “Please note that BBB ratings are not a guarantee of a business’s reliability or performance. When considering complaint information, its important to take into account the company’s size and volume of transactions.” See the screen shot of the email response. I have paid Stan’s $30,000 over 2 years, see the temp in the house after a 2-year-old unit died. I had to use space heaters over the winter and will have to use a portable air conditioner this summer, again $30,000 in two years. The BBB saw the receipts and the responses from them and is blatantly willing to continue to mislead the public by continuing to rate them an A+. The BBB reflects a 2.2 rating out of 5 on its own website, but still gives them an A+ after seeing how they treated me. I will never use another BBB accredited company, never, it is nothing, but a lie.

They are deceptive in the way they hide the cancelation on their services. You have to call them and leave a message and then no one calls you back. Highly recommend you invest those advertising dollars elsewhere. Couldn’t leave this rating on their own platform as BBB complaints are not accepted. Think about that for a minute!

I was contacted by the BBB shortly after opening my small business. I agreed to a $50 monthly fee to become “accredited”. Took months to get my company logo on the page. That was the extent of service I received. I did received a few 5 star reviews from customers that were posted to my page shortly after signing up. I noticed some months after becoming “accredited” that my monthly fee was raised to $75 a month. When I called to inquire about the price increase and asking what am I getting for this? I was told that was normal and if I wanted to keep my “accredited” status I should pay the fee!! BEFORE JOINING THE BBB UNDERSTAND THIS…THE ONLY WAY TO BECOME ACCREDITED WITH THE BBB IS TO PAY THEM. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BUSINESS REVIEWS, BUSINESS PRACTICES, HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS, OR IF YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS OR NOT. After canceling with them my BBB business page now has Large Font in bright red that states “THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED” at the top and bottom of the page!!! ALSO MY LOGO HAS BEEN REMOVED ALONG WITH THE GOOD REVIEWS THAT WERE POSTED..SHAME ON YOU BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!! THIS GIVES PEOPLE THE IMPRESSION THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY COMPANY..WHY NOT JUST SAY THIS COMPANY CHOOSES NOT TO PAY TO BECOME “ACCREDITED”..HEY BBB IF YOU WANT TO RESOLVE THIS COMPLAINT THEN GIVE MY MONEY BACK!! YOU DIDN’T EARN IT!!!
