My husband got terminated after being mis informed about a job. He presented his ppe to the branch supervisor. The supervisor said he was good to go. When he shows up to the job it was not as described. So he came back to the branch. He was needing waterproof boots that when he did show his steel toe boots he was told he would be fine in those. They expected him to stand in 4″ of water for 10 hrs. My husband has plenty of integrity he just not a fool. They have a 2 hour min that they should have payed him. Because of there mistake. When they refused he simply stated he was going to check if his rights were violated. They fired him on the spot. After they lied once already by misleading him into believing he was temp to hire then not getting hired working for $9.87 a hour for 5 week’s. Not that he didn’t do good job laborworks didn’t disclose his and other employees background. So they can cash in on there profits at the expense of other people trying to get a good job. To us this seems to be illegal business practices. I will be filing with LNI and seeking legal advice and possibly representation.
