Our experience with Model’s Inc. has been deeply disappointing, confirming the warnings we received about their lack of professionalism and disregard for their talent.
From the beginning, it was made clear that guidance was needed, yet the agency provided no support. A reputable agency should assess the specific needs of its talent rather than assume a one-size-fits-all approach.
Despite claims of transparency, there was no clear breakdown of actual earnings, leaving us unaware of what would truly be taken home. This level of ambiguity is unacceptable for an agency that claims to work in the best interest of its talent.
The most unprofessional moment, however, was being copied on an internal email where the agency instructed the removal of our daughter from future projects simply because they “did not want to deal with the mother.” The claim that this was intentional only reinforces the unprofessional culture of this agency. Given that the client had directly expressed interest in rehiring the talent, it is clear that Model’s Inc. prioritized its own convenience over advocating for those it represents. And while Sherrie will claim this had to do with availability, this alone proves that this decision had nothing to do with availability and everything to do with avoiding accountability.
Direct and honest communication does not equate to being dismissive and unprofessional. As someone who manages over 250 clients in a similar industry, I would never treat people with such disregard.
It’s disappointing—but not surprising—to see Model’s Inc. attempt to rewrite the facts rather than take accountability for their unprofessionalism, especially coming from the owner Sherrie.
For these reasons, we have moved on to an agency that values professionalism, transparency, and true talent development.
Pretty bummed this was our daughter’s first experience with a talent agency.
