Thank you Jessica for such a wonderful birthday dinner last night. An amazing dinner experience with my wife is the best gift.
We went to Jūn in The Heights – a place we have been dying to go to for years now. Finally found the right occasion to do it.
We have been watching the current season of Top Chef and I’ve been a fan of Evelyn Garcia and Henry Lu for a while and what a team they make at Jūn. The service and style were perfect.

I enjoyed my cocktails , appetizer and whole fish . However I felt this place was a tad over rated . Dishes can be a hit or miss , proportions are definitely on the small side . Service was not the best , I was definitely expecting better given the hype. Try the michelada and shrimp appetizer , branzino was good, stay away from the chicken dish . The decor needs improvement by the bar area . I feel like they spent more time decorating and seasoning the bathroom than the restaurant.

This restaurant was like visiting another country. We visited for top Chef restaurant night with a set menu, and it was fabulous. Every course was tantalizing on all levels. They do an agua chilé on their regular menu and they also can make a green Michelada with it, even a n/a version! So amazing. Definitely go.
