MAJOR THEFT ISSUE!
The rating on this community was bought out by Instagram raffles and gift card incentives.
Dirty buildings, lack of parking enforcement, lack of functioning amenities & care-free incompetent leasing staff.
Your entire living experience can be summarized by the lack of professionalism and common sense that Everly holds while at her desk texting and not picking up any incoming call.
Any issue you may have, rest assured that it will not be addressed accordingly by leasing staff. Either they will put the blame on you or simply refer to their very contradicting lease agreement.
We had a total of three thefts.
#1 was when we first moved in and had our car broken into. Fortunately for us, we never kept valuables in our cars. We thought this was going to be a rare occurrence, so we didn’t take much interest since there’s crime everywhere (naive thinking).
#2 occurred when a thief broke into our garage THROUGH THE DRYWALL! Unfortunately, we did lose very personal items such as family albums, childhood items, and even some brand new items for our newborn. Luckily, we had a ring camera to document the event. When letting the office staff know, we found out the vacant garage next to ours was left open by a staff member. Because of this lack of precaution, a thief began cutting through the drywall and making a whole big enough to see the inside of the garage. Once that was done, he used a construction metal rod to push the garage door opener and have direct access from the exterior side of the garage. When giving details of the ring camera footage to the office, they immediately refuted any fault, saying their staff wouldn’t be so irresponsible and that they truly believe their staff takes all precautions possible. When they saw actual footage of staff member leaving vacant garage door open, they back paddled and said that I must have left the garage door open. Then, I showed them the drywall damage inside my garage and relayed my communication to their regional. I was demanding that they hold themselves accountable for putting my family’s safety at risk. Additionally, I demanded for them to repay me for the stolen items due to me potentially losing insurance coverage because this was my second claim in less than a year. They declined and instead gave me a credit for the deductible I paid for their lack of precaution and safety. (Pics and videos are posted)
3. This is when I drew the line and decided to move out. We had yet again another attempted burglary (truthfully, I lost count how many we actually had within a year). This time, I was awake making my baby a bottle when I noticed my ring door app going off. It was two thieves trying to break into my neighbors garage. I immediately called PD, and they were apprehended. I informed the office staff, and for about a week, I was waiting to hear back from the community manager. I had to make a court appearance and put myself and my familys safety at risk by doing this, aagain. Additionally, this was the time when I had to decide if I should renew or move out. Fortunately for us, we never received the requested renewal lease that we were waiting on for a month from Everly. When going to the office and requesting to speak with the community manager, I always got the run around that she was too busy or that she was not in office and she’d get back to me. Never did. Even PD couldn’t get a hold of the community manager. They kept calling me about the case because the office was of no help.
Work orders will be addressed (mostly by Patrick and Christian) as other techs will do a quick fix and make it Christian’s problem.
Communication, lack of professionalism, and caring are all factors that really impact the welfare, safety, and satisfaction of most residents at Palisades.
It’s such a shame that new tenants are never informed prior to touring or when they move in. The only salvageable people are Christian, Patrick & the new Assistant Manager.
Take our experience as a learning opportunity and keep searching for the right home for you and your family.
