This company withholds employees Stat holiday pay until threatened with legal action. As far as I’m concerned they are thieves and scammers that shouldn’t have the right to operate in this country for they do not respect ours laws and legal rights as workers. I would have given zero stars if I could. This company is either a thinly veiled scam, or just REALLY incompetent. Fraud. Any positive review you see is astroturfing, they show up after someone gives them a negative review. You can even see the same person with 2 different accounts reviewed them twice positively almost immediately after they received another bad review. Just look at the names giving positive reviews and that will help you if you’re wondering if you should take a job from them. Couple of repeats there… They don’t tell you the proper things that are needed before starting a job (certifications, equipment etc), so there’s a day lost there when you can’t participate in site orientation. They claim “there was an error in accounting” over and over, so your first paycheque will be delayed, if it arrives at all. Vacation pay isn’t a thing. Regular pay isn’t a thing, they still owe me for work done. The other temps I worked with also reported the same thing. For my first week they e-transfered me (without pay stubs) a week late. My agent assured me over and over that it was the last time they would pay late as their accounts department had to go back to India, and that I should return to work. That was a lie, I received one payment on time and by the time I was fed up with their constant scamming, I quit (gracefully somehow, without incident with the company I was assigned to). Still waiting on that cheque. That was well over a month ago. Nobody from the company will respond. There are 3 different divisions (that I have discovered so far) of this company under different names registered to. I’m Recruitment, Manpower, and Staff Connect. There’s another one registered in Quebec too. Avoid them. I doubt they have any idea what our labour laws or accounting practices are, despite many of them being educated in Canada. I have opened a claim with the Ministry of Labour, and you should too. Double check your time stubs, check your deductions. Update: got my money, thanks Ministry of Labour lol.
