Extremely unprofessional on the phone when you want to ask what the current status of your application is. No response to applications seems to have become normal. No empathy at all. If you are an applicant suffering from depression/other illnesses, please do not apply. It’s not worth the time, no appreciation for the other person.
*Edit in response:
Dear Ms. Krachler,
It seems to me as if you can’t distinguish criticism from “insult”. I completely agree with you regarding your formulation of the “big problems” that accompany me involuntarily for health reasons. Why do you have to look down on people who are already having a hard time? That’s the question I ask myself.
To make it clearer: there are applicants with special needs/limitations. Mentioning these is not always relevant to the advertised position. Based on my experience of dealing with this topic, you can almost conclude that this “category” of people has no place in the job market for some recruiters. I would like to hear this from you now and you can be sure that I will report it to an equal treatment body in consultation with my supervisor.
Actually, I would have just liked a simple apology that might have persuaded me to delete this review.
Incidentally, people with disabilities and illnesses are not lazy or unwilling to work, but rather have a harder time, which is why there are also offers such as work assistance, for which I am very grateful that I receive support. Above all, I find it problematic how condescendingly a “human resources consultancy” speaks to people. (By the way, legally speaking, you don’t have to disclose health problems directly over the phone or in an application, especially if they are not relevant to the position. In case you want to “out yourself” in your answer ” must.)
In the hope of a general rethink, for more empathy and sociality in these unfortunately very cold times, I remain
Best regards
Eliana Angela Talotta
