Got a friendly phone call from Jordan at Grit yesterday just to check in on how things have been going and it sparked me to leave a review that has been long overdue. I moved up here about a year prior to covid, and finding a job right away wasn’t as easy as I expected it to be. They had me come in for a quick meet and greet to get to know me and me them. They looked over my past job history and within a day or two gave me options to look at and set me up with interviews from which jobs I was interested in. I chose a job that I really enjoyed and stayed at until I was unfortunately laid off due to the pandemic. I rode that wave as everyone else had to, and the team at Grit were with me every step of the way reaching out periodically to visit, while offering job opportunities that may be fitting from time to time to get me back up on my feet and working. It’s been years since I’ve used this recruiting agency but they still call to keep in touch. Since using this agency, I’ve started my own business venture. But I appreciate how Ryan Alexander, Grit, and the team continues to occasionally keep in touch. It’s reassuring to know they are there when and if needed. It’s kinda turned into a friendship of sorts. I’ve read some of the other reviews on here where others don’t share the experience I’ve had, but they are top tier in my book and I’m difficult to please lol. I hope if you are reading this you give them a call. They will work hard to find you a good job that fits your skill wheelhouse and land you somewhere close for your commute.

So, yesterday (March 3rd) I got a message from Preston at Grit, job offer asked me to call. I did about an hour and a half later. No answer, called a few hours later, no answer. Called the front desk, said he was in a meeting, had the front desk tell him to call me back. TODAY (March 4th). Got another message, for a different job, from Preston, called immediately. No answer. Didn’t leave a message this time & immediately called front desk. Front desk doesn’t have an answer for me, agrees it’s weird he hasn’t contacted me & gave me the supervisors phone number. I applied once, a little over 5 years ago (probably on indeed) & someone from Grit contacts me once or twice a year. Usually when I was actually employed, & informed them so. The only time it seems I am looking for work, they didn’t realize a position was already filled or NOW, the company is ghosting me. I’ve tried contacting Preston’s supervisor, Angela, who’s mail box was completely full so I couldn’t even leave a message. Front desk said she was in when asked. So at this point I’m not even sure this is a real company. And I’m not sure why the one function Grit performs (getting people jobs) Grit hasn’t done for 5 years (at least for me), why Grit keeps contacting me; or not. Since I can’t seem to find any answers.

*CAUTION* If you get a job through Grit Resources, don’t expect them to work with you again.. Just put in my 2 weeks notice with my current employer (a company Grit contracts with) so I can find another company through Grit, just to be told “sorry we don’t want to work with you at the moment in fear of “losing” our contract with that company”… What?? Not good business if you ask me. *CAUTION*
