I have been trying to speak with someone at the Georgia Dept of Labor. I have not been able to get anyone to help me access my Employer Portal to submit unemployment taxes. My call has been answered twice. The first time the girl had no clue how to assist and I was told I would receive a callback. It’s been 3 days, no call. Just go through again and was asked if I had used this portal before. Yes. For the past 30 years. She instantly hung up on me. Wrote this while I was on hold again. Phone was answered and was immediately hung up on again. Unable to access portal to pay

I don’t recommend this location. They sent my 1st 3 payments to a debit card. The problem is that debit card was returned to sender in April of 2014. Of course the card expired. The card was canceled and funds were returned to them. Now, I selected direct deposit as my form of payment before I was approved and the transactions were processed. Not sure how this happened. I have yet to receive a response in 2 weeks about the missing $1095.00. Noone has reached out after filling out the contact form and calling leaving my phone number several times/days. The commissioner contact form got no response either. It doesn’t take 2 weeks for reconciliation. I have been trying to get this resolved but I see now I’ll have to take other measures of exposure and accountability. Leadership, do your job! Are you stealing funds or just don’t about the job you signed up for? Do better!!! Where’s my money????

I understand dealing with government agencies can be frustrating and many of the current reviews reflect a lot of people’s frustration at a time where they’re likely experiencing hardships. However, I had to write this to say I’ve had nothing but good things to say about all the ladies working in this office. They have been professional, kind, carefully have explained the process of applying and obtaining UI benefits. I myself experienced delays in my claim but not because of anyone in particular but because you have to follow instructions exactly how they give them to you from the beginning. If you fail in any step your benefits will be delayed … hence why it’s so easy to get frustrated and walk in this office taking it out on the staff. My advice is follow the steps to the T. If you visit the office…bring a positive attitude. These ladies are doing their best.
