If you need a passport, save gas and your time by going to the Courthouse **instead of this Sunbeam location**. I went to this location between 3:00-4:00 pm as stated on the USPS website, but the worker said she isn’t processing any more passports because she reached the limit of 5. She said some people arrived way before 2:30. She directed me to read the posted flyer about their policy of slots being filled up (which isn’t on the USPS website).
The passport worker in this picture was mean. She should work in the back if she is going to have a bad attitude.
(((By the way, the Courthouse has 4-5 workers who process passports and they are nice, helpful, welcoming, and you will be helped regardless of the time frame that you arrive.)))
I asked to speak with the manager and gave feedback to see if during their leadership meetings, he can ask someone to please add the flyer information on the website so that people know it is a 5 person limit. Even if you arrive on time or arrive before 2:00, it is still not guaranteed you will be helped.
The manager said the USPS website page cannot be updated to reflect their location’s policy. :-/
I stayed for about 20 minutes to observe. I watched several people come into the post office and be denied. I was upset that I travelled from the other side of town. I was more frustrated that they are nonchalant about having people constantly come in to be surprised about the policy on the flyer.
This review is ultimately asking USPS to update their website’s passport location information for the Sunbeam location to reflect what the flyer says so that customers know that limited means the 5 first customers to arrive. It means it is race and you need to arrive 1-2 hours before the walk in time of 3:00 pm.
