Freelancer.com is a company that is banning clients only based on their country of origin/birth which is an example of racism and is a discriminatory practice.
After 6 years of being a client of Freelancer, my account was accidentally closed because of my country of birth.
I haven’t lived in my country of birth for more than 7 years and am a permanent resident of a EU county. I submitted all the required documents during the new verification process, but the account still wasn’t reopened. The live support agent ended chat with me without answering my questions. And the Email support team hasn’t been answering me since October.
I’m deeply disappointed by how Freelancer treats their loyal clients, especially considering that I provided them with all the required personal documents.

Insane fees, bad support. Just deleted my account with pending withdrawals without any notice whatsoever. Refusing to pay 100% back, since they still want “their” fee.

We regret to inform you we have closed your “******” account for violating the site’s Terms and Conditions.
As such, we’re afraid we’re unable to reopen it. We’re also not privy to discuss the details of the violation due to security reasons.
The decision to close your account is final and irreversible. Any account that you will open in the future will be closed as well.
We offer no recourse or rebuttal for this penalty. Succeeding messages pertaining to the same concern will also be considered closed.
