I’ve had more shifts canceled than I’ve been able to work. I understand facilities needing to cancel for various reasons, but this is unreal. Canceled on my way to a facility over an hour away from where I live and would not be compensated for at least 4 hours like most agencies. Being told to “pick up at another facility” at the last minute on a weekend is not cool. Would not currently recommend.

Update: There was a response stating facilities cancel shifts not focal point. I have documentation showing focal point canceling my shift, the facility calling me to see what was going on, then focal point reposting the shift 5 minutes later. It’s very unorganized and can lead to a lot of your time being wasted.
Shifts are canceled less than an hour before the start of shift most times. Virtual assistants not located in USA are the only contacts you can reach on the phone. The Virtual assistants cancel your shifts due to over staffing. Then there is an alert in the chat for urgent staffing need of the shift they just canceled. Very unprofessional. Not accountable for their errors and will accuse nurses of ncns when they canceled the shifts.

Loved working for Focal Point Medical Staffing. Very professional and a place of many opportunities. Enjoy going to work knowing we are making a difference with wonderful co-workers (more like family). This Company is growing everyday. Great pay and Great hours. Truly would refer to many in the nursing field.
