Verstela will do everything they can do to waste your time, and very little to get you a job. They have impossible standards for mediocre jobs with mediocre pay.
I went to them trying to get a job after being unemployed for months. Their positions are mostly warehouse, which I have a year and half of experience in and am fine with doing. First you have to do an AI chatbot interview, which is silly. Next you do a phone interview explaining your work history. The first time I did this I was told I wasn’t a good fit because my warehouse experience was from 6 years ago and the client hasn’t had good experience with people transitioning from office jobs to warehouse. The job description did not say it had to be recent experience, and I feel that I was unfairly judged against past employees.
Then they contacted me about another position that was willing to take recent office workers (oh, I’m so grateful). I did a second phone interview, and then was asked when I could do an in-person interview with the company (is four interviews really necessary for a temp job??). In the meantime they had me drive to Broomfield to do a drug test and get my IDs on file. And then two days later they called me to say the position was filled by another one of their candidates.
This whole process is ridiculous. This was two weeks of my time wasted. I held a senior position at a corporate bank for 6 years and now I don’t qualify for a warehouse job that pays $20/hr in a city where rent is $2k? What are we doing here??? How is this the way things work now? The job market is already a warzone, and Verstela is doing all they can to contribute to that.
Ashli at the front desk was very nice and helpful, but my recruiter, Mo, was not.
