I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism that my husband was treated with at same day pediatrics. We have been using Boystown Pediatrics & Same day Peds as needed for over 20 years. Never have I ever dealt with anything like I did on Sunday February 9, 2025. I called to schedule an appointment first of all and had a hard time doing that due to phone issues that the schedulers did not report to anyone. Then when I finally did speak with someone I was advised they were only doing walk ins for the day. When my husband arrived within an hour later to do a walk in, he was advised they closed the walk ins due to volume. I was never advised this could happen. They stated they would reopen walk ins at 445pm. He went back at 445pm to have our daughter seen for a rash and he then waited 3 hours for her to be seen. On top of it people were coming in and going back before her. My husband asked what was going on and they told him he was next. Once he did get back he eventually seen Dr Compton that asked why our daughter was being seen? My husband advised him she had a rash, he asked if she was having breathing issues? I’m thinking well if she did she wouldn’t be there for one and for two we wouldn’t have waited 5 hours and 45 minutes for her to be seen. On top of all of this the doctor never opened her chart to get information in regards to what was going on and just kept asking my husband questions that he was not 100% sure about. The doctor finally opened the chart to send out medication and that was it. All that took 10 minutes. I am absolutely just in awe over the lack of professionalism starting from the schedulers to the doctor. The only one that did a good job was the nurse that called to talk to me to take my complaint about the terrible communication we were getting. Same day Peds you really need to get it together!

I have came to Boystown since my boys were babies. I never really had a problem with them until these couple of last months where I kind of felt that the doctor wasn’t really caring about my children’s health just recently. I took my child in for a check up Because he was having a fever going on five days with a fever. The doctor totally dismissed everything and said he should be fine to give him some rest the next day he wasn’t fine. He was a little bit worse ended up taking him to the Children’s Hospital. Because it seemed like he was having difficulties breathing turned out it was pneumonia Dr. Sprague lasted like three minutes in the room with me and said oh he’s fine and he went on about his day. I totally feel like I’m changing pediatricians because I don’t feel like he generally cares about my kids.

Rose Nurse Practitioner. She has been the best doctor for my daughter and has helped me in so many ways. She was wonderful at bed side manner and always willing to help me with anything I needed. Also her nursing staff who answers the phone, her name is Kate. Also fantastic and always so sweet. Thank you guys so very much with everything. I hope this review finds you! 🙏
