I applied for an Employment Specialist position. I received a preliminary phone interview from them on a Tuesday. At the end of the call I was asked to complete two tests that they had emailed to me and they would call back the next day. I completed the tests that day and the same person called me back the next day. During this interview call it back apparent to me that the job I was being interviewed for was not what they listed. The job listing had a single sentence mentioning there would be some sales. “The main goal of the Employment Specialist is to put people into jobs, meet client needs, and network within the community in a sales capacity.” It also stated a pay scale of “Wages: $45,000 – $50,000 DOE”. I was told that there would be a high focus on sales and that the pay would be salary + commission. I continued with the interview and continued to express interest. At the conclusion of the call I was told they would call me on Friday (06/14) and let me know if I would continue forward with the process or why I wouldn’t be. As of today (06/23) I have not received a phone call, text, or email. This is highly unprofessional for a company that is supposed to be helping people find jobs.
