Express called me up with a job offer. I listened to the details carefully, and it sounded like a perfect fit. The recruiter informed me there was a lot of ‘onboarding’ documentation to complete, but I went ahead and completed everything in record time. I even showed up early the next day to give copies of my ID and ss card. I took and passed a quick saliva test and was told they were just waiting for the background check. Would you believe, after being told I had the job, that I can’t get hired at the place because the background check was taking too long and the class (training) started on Monday. They submitted me for the background check on Thursday. So now I have no job to tell about and to make it worse, the office didn’t even bother reaching out to me about anything whatsoever. They knew if was patently waiting for the results to come back in …… and would NOT give me any feedback. I had to chalk it up to loosing a job because of the express representative who tried to rush things along bit off more than she could chew. It took me 4 buses to get to the Kirkland office and I had to pay 50 for an Uber trip home because I had another interview I had to attend. So that’s the scoop. You’ll jump through every piece of red tape they have out, and even if you do it in a timely manner, it’s still not good enough. Everyone should remember. These background checks could take a while and could stop someone from starting a job. But Express doesn’t care so, you know. Tried asking for the manager too, but of course he won’t be in til monday…. 🙄 Is this really how this company works themselves? Because it’s abysmal and it cost me time and money that I have so little of.

This Express branch is hands-down the best in the Pacific Northwest. I don’t say that lightly, especially after having some disappointing experiences at other locations. From the moment I walked in, Laura was incredibly sweet and helpful, making what was already a stressful situation so much easier. I came in looking for a new career while my company was on strike. Even though I ultimately decided to stick with my previous employer, Laura treated me with so much respect and professionalism throughout the entire process. It meant a lot to be treated like a person, not just another “walk in.” Laura is truly a standout, her kindness and dedication make her such an asset to the company. In a world where great customer service is a lost art, she reminds me that there are still people who genuinely care. Thank you, Laura, and thank you to the whole team, for being so awesome. I’ll always appreciate you all! -Tim

Be extremely careful employment bait switch tactics. Not sure if it commissioned pay base per individual job placement. My expierence perfect while on-boarding. Yet; job was nothing that was discussed. Job placement had high turn over ratio on employees quiting. Made me feel as if a 3rd party individual to come into the company to be treated poorly. Better off to find voluntarily job then to be a 3rd party individual walking into contraptment [poor quality].
