Judging by the comment section, this agency doesn’t know anything but modern slave labour. Like any other abomination that wants to call itself an agency or recruiter.
The real culprit here is not only the agency but also the airport itself and the multitude of companies that subcontract regulate and are in charge of making deals with these recruiters.
It’s not a story only for Portugal but for the entire European Union or world. The only somewhat serious agency that I ever managed to meet over vast years of work in many parts of the world that somehow own some criteria and respect and appreciate the employee and do something, is Randstad.
In this case, I am not amazed, Portugal has laws but very poor work ethic and practices coming from the companies or employers as a conglomerate. Pull like a mule, with little regard to human treatment, especially if you are an immigrant looking for an honest job to earn an honest living. You burn out or get hurt? Nobody cares.
