Employed but searching for a better fit, I responded to an ESF job posting like I had done with a few other recruiters and forgot about it since I was only passively searching. I got a call saying my resume did not open. Now that’s new – it doesn’t open but I get a call?! This is customer service at its best from a he’d hunting firm! Usually, you, the job applicant is seen as low and desperate and since the receive a lot of both solicited and unsolicited resumes, they do have a healthy pool to draw from! I responded by immediately sending in my resume in Word, got a call back saying it was received! If this is not being professional, in an industry we you where almost all emails are computer generated, then I know nothing about customer service or being professional!
It did not matter if there was a job for me after the initial interview, I knew then that it was a firm I wanted to work with in my search for a better job.
2 days later, an interview was scheduled, then a second interview followed by a job offer! ESF had a human face and we’re real every step of the way! The face was Tom Lukasewich, the feel was ESF and together the ESF team spells professionalism and should be a role model to the industry!
