The individuals who take your call are incredibly rude. Working at a great place like this you should be more polite to the people who are just calling for information. Instead all I have got is attitude from these people. They cut you off in the middle of your sentences and rush to get off the phone.
If you give them your info for them to call you back. They wont. You have to call them back or they wont contact you at all. The organization is there to help but the people who work at this office are not.
*2024 Update*
I’m in the process of another claim after moving back to the area and this place is still no help. They are unaware of simple details that can help you push the claim process further. Look elsewhere for help (VFW, buddy, or do your own work). You will not get it here. 1/5 is being nice.

I am writing this to refute the claims made about one of the staff members listed here. I have only made initial contact and have been told a VSO will reach out to assist me. But the Nikki that has been mentioned here was nothing but polite and professional with me. I notices one of the one star reviews was by the same guys that left a one star review about the VFW office at the same location with the same complaint about them. I can only day that he is completely wrong in this regard about both places. Don’t be discouraged from reaching out to these places for help. I’ll update as I make progress

Do not expect any help from this office. They are always out of the office (message with no voicemail), “in training”, or Nikki is just completely rude and makes you wish you hadn’t called. If you send an e-mail to the national organization they will call you right back but that song and dance gets old quick. Save yourself the grief and find a better VSO.
