Doctors at the hospital are truly commendable. They are dedicated and do not give up even on the toughest cases—hats off to their commitment and medical expertise.
The nursing staff is worst —some are helpful, while others lack basic courtesy. However, the biggest issue lies with the housekeeping and security staff, especially in the emergency and ward areas. Their behavior towards patients’ attendants is extremely rude and disrespectful. They talk harshly, often shout, and misbehave with people who are already under stress. When confronted, they shamelessly claim that “no one can do anything even if you complain.” This shows how broken and helpless the ESI hospital management is when it comes to controlling their staff.
Even more concerning is what happens at night. DMO (Duty Medical Officers), nursing staff, and other support staff including some from the so-called “musical” team are seen sleeping during their night shifts. When a patient is in pain and the attendant calls for help, no one responds. And if they do show up after repeated calls, they behave in an extremely unprofessional and arrogant manner, showing zero empathy.
This kind of inhuman behavior is not just unacceptable, it’s shameful. Patients come here in pain, expecting care—not neglect and insult.
I sincerely request the higher authorities to take strict action and conduct surprise checks at night shifts. If this situation continues, it will damage the credibility of the entire hospital, no matter how good the doctors are.
