Diag Partners contacted me based on my profile marked as “Open to Work”. I did an initial interview with a recruiter named Caroline, then another interview with Samantha from Diag Partners. I was scheduled for and completed an interview with their client that was hiring. It went downhill from there…
During my interview with the hiring company, I had a few questions that they couldn’t answer but was told they would find out would send me the information through Diag Partners, which never happened.
Several red flags during this process…
-Caroline was my recruiter and my first point of contact. We had several phone calls scheduled, and she was late or entirely missed appointment times for each scheduled call. While I appreciate Caroline asking me what time was convenient for me, if she couldn’t make the appointment, it would be better to ask for an alternate time. This is totally unprofessional and sends a message that I’m not really important as a candidate that Diag Partners could be making money from.
-Caroline did message me after my interview to see how it went. I told her that it seemed to go well. Caroline said she would reach out to me the next day or at the latest the following day, depending on when she got a response from the client on next steps. I didn’t receive any communication from Caroline until after the 2 days that she committed to. Even if there was no response from the client, a quick message with an update would have been the professional thing to do.
-I sent an email to Caroline and Samantha highlighting the above, and I did receive a response from Samantha. I was told that the hiring company was delayed by a budget review, which was never communicated to me.
-I never got any response from Caroline, my primary contact, regarding my concerns/complaints with my experience.
-Lack of timely communication and keeping commitments was very lacking during my experience. I still don’t know if their client is hiring or planning any other interviews.
-Diag Partners working with a client that doesn’t provide feedback doesn’t inspire me to want to work for their client.
-It doesn’t matter if this was a “one-off” situation, when I am the one. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend Diag Partners, or their client, Datascan.
