Old-school charm, coal-fired crust, and a slice of NYC history. Lombardi’s doesn’t mess around. This place is literally America’s first pizzeria (since 1905), and honestly, you can taste the legacy.
I went with the rustic double pepperoni pizza, and it was spot on: crispy, slightly charred crust, bright tomato sauce, they use special pepperoni , gooey mozzarella, and fresh basil. No gimmicks—just really good pizza done right. The rigatoni and meatballs is also a must.
The place is Cozy, busy, and buzzing with tourists and locals alike. You’ll probably wait a bit, but it moves fast and the staff keeps things running smoothly. Prices are a little higher than your corner slice joint, but this isn’t dollar pizza—it’s legendary pizza.

We went to check out this iconic pizzeria last thanksgiving and the experience was great. Classic and cozy vibe, nice and fast service with good food. We love the pizzas and other dishes we ordered. It’s a must try for tourists since it’s first pizzeria in New York. Also if I live in the area I would come back often.

Every time I visit NYC, I always stop here to eat. The service is always good even though they always seem to be busy. The pizza is delicious. My waiter recommend to try the meatballs. They were the best.
