Drove over an hour to interview for a “rover” position. Upon arrival I was told that I would be interviewing with the RECEPTIONIST! Yes, you read that right. The “interview” went great and I was told I had the job and given a phone number to text. I was stoked since I really needed the job. So I text the gentleman and he requests that I work that evening; mind you this was never mentioned in the interview. Anyways, I informed him that I could not work because I had to be elsewhere but that I could work as early as the next day. He doesn’t reply to my text. So I text him the next day inquiring about the work for the day since they had given me no information at the interview. The HIRING MANAGER texts me back in response, “Yes, however yesterday I needed help, and was able to with candidates willing to make a sacrifice.” So I am out a job because I couldn’t work the same day of my interview on a few hours notice? That’s not even the end of it. Feeling that this may be the most unprofessional work situation I have ever been involved in; I figured I would reach out to the “hiring managers” supervisor(Ms. Leblanc), right? It got worse. After talking to the receptionist who put me on hold(I am assuming to inform Ms. Leblanc I was calling) I was given a phone number to call. Calling the number I was put on hold for a good minute. When someone did pick up I could tell that whoever it was had me on speaker phone. After informing her again as to why I was calling, she proceeded to become VERY rude and unprofessional with me. She started arguing with me and claiming that I was “calling the wrong business” to complain even though she owns the company and HER receptionist gave me HER number. I then informed her that I was obviously upset by having my time and gas wasted she proceeded to HANG UP ON ME! Seriously, do not do business with these people. I am filing a complaint with the BBB because I suspect they may be collecting people’s personal info. APPLICANTS AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATES BEWARE!
