I had a rather disappointing experience with Credence during my interview process. The first interviewer, a ma’am, was very polite and professional. She conducted an aptitude test, where I scored at least 80%, and also gave me a task to identify key keywords for a given JD. Everything was going smoothly until the second interviewer entered the room. I greeted him and even asked if he was there to analyze my work, to which he simply responded, “No, I am not the one to look into it.” While that was fine, his overall attitude felt quite arrogant, as if he knew everything. What truly surprised me was that while I was still focused on completing my task, he abruptly closed the laptop in front of me. Instead of discussing my work, he started questioning my academic background, particularly why I switched from science to commerce—almost as if making a career decision for oneself is a crime. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview. Then came the third interviewer, who continued in the same unprofessional manner. Even though I clearly mentioned that I didn’t receive proper training in my previous company, he still expected me to have a year’s worth of expertise with just five months of experience. His remarks were more discouraging than constructive, questioning how I could handle challenges if I hadn’t cracked something before. If they were looking for someone with extensive knowledge, I wonder why they even considered my application in the first place. I completely understand that I may not have met their exact expectations, but the least they could do was conduct the interview with some professionalism and basic courtesy. Thankfully, I didn’t get selected because I am now in a company where my work is actually valued and recognized. For anyone considering an opportunity with Credence, just be prepared for an interview process that feels more like a test of patience rather than an assessment of skills.
