Please, GO SOMEWHERE ELSEWHERE TO BUY YOUR BOOKS!!! Twice, I’ve had really bad experiences.
The last time: my daughter orders a book and has no choice: it’s delivered to her house… Okay, that’s fine. Fifteen minutes later, she decides to buy the book elsewhere because she found it elsewhere and it’s available now. It’s impossible to cancel the order and get the $50 deposit refunded!!! Bravo!
First experience:
My daughter’s school does business with this Lionel-Groulx cooperative; we have a list of school supplies. We place the order one week before classes start (indeed, we’re late). But the next day, the order is marked as shipped! So, we wait. We expect to receive the order in the next few days. Classes start and still no books. So, the week after classes started, we called the Coop and were told that the order was at the Cegep Coop in Saint-Jérôme. We then went to Saint-Jérôme to pick up the order. Of the entire order, only 1 book was there… And the lady did some research and told us that the order had not been shipped and that it was in Blainville at the warehouse! We insisted on picking up the order or else we wanted to cancel it. She ended up calling the warehouse and gave us the address to pick up our order. We then went to Blainville, and they waited for us, very unhappy! Where we were accused of having threatened employees and having been violent (which is completely false), that we were not the only customers and that “they didn’t want customers like us”!!! And the person who wrongly accused us in this way without proof was none other than the person in charge of purchasing and shipping! Small consolation, we had a full order.
So, avoid it as much as possible!
