I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with this labor hire company. Despite five years in the construction industry and working with various agencies, this is the first time I’ve encountered such a problematic situation.
After suffering a severe ankle injury, Christopher, the supervisor, assured me the company would fully support my recovery. He promised I could work in the office and receive weekly payments until I recovered. However, it quickly became clear that the goal was to avoid filing a proper claim.
When I met with Ruby, the manager, her dismissive attitude was shocking. Despite my foot being severely swollen, she downplayed the injury, commenting that it “looked much better”. After waiting for two hours, I was told I couldn’t work in the office, and that my claim would not continue, without any explanation. I was promised a week’s pay but never received it, and my attempts to contact Christopher went unanswered.
Things only got worse. I later discovered that no claim had ever been filed on my behalf. The work cover company informed me that if they had started a claim, I would have received a claim number. Despite Christopher’s repeated assurances regarding physiotherapy appointments, payments, transportation, and pharmacy expenses, none of these promises were fulfilled. They pushed me to see their doctor, frequently saying ”my current doctor was not good enough”, likely to control the assessment of my injury.
This company seems more focused on minimizing costs and avoiding paperwork than actually supporting injured workers. The entire experience has been a nightmare, and their procedures clearly prioritize protecting the company over their employees. I cannot recommend this labor hire company to anyone seeking fair and honest treatment.
In addition to these issues, the lack of commitment was evident from the beginning. When Christopher first contacted me about starting a project at the airport, I completed four lengthy inductions that took up entire afternoons. However, every day, I was told, “You will start tomorrow.” This pattern continued for two weeks, leaving me without work during that time.
Christopher also assured me that the job would be consistent and that I could work as much as I wanted, but in reality, I was only scheduled for 1 to 3 days a week.
This ongoing lack of transparency and failure to meet promises has made this a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience.
