My wife went to an ER in a small hospital. We paid the hospital bill less than a month later. Then 10 months later we get a letter from CAC, a collection agency for Concord saying we owed more. They never sent us a bill for this and are now threatening to report it to credit bureaus. Very unethical and unprofessional. I paid the amount on line, but they handled it completely wrong. I itemize my taxes and claim all medical and I did not have their invoice from last year so I have proof.

Pretty sure this is a scamming ring! Got a letter that I owed $1270.90 from an accident I was in 3 years ago to a medical group that I have never heard of in a town nowhere near the hospital I was at. I was at the hospital and had a conflict with the insurance company, leaving a balance that was paid and was no where near the amount this company says I owed! The balance they were willing to then reduced to $719.49. Huge SCAM!!

I’m pretty sure this isn’t a real medical group. I have gotten 2 calls about owing $1000 but only paying $600 for an emergency room visit back in 2016 and it’s 2020. I called the hospital and they said it was an issue with insurance and had gotten sent to uncollectable and I don’t owe anything and it wasn’t even the same amount they are claiming I owe and the second call when I told them that and said I wasn’t paying they hung up. They also didn’t ask me for my information to make sure I am who I am instead they told me my information and asked if it was correct which is a big red flag that they are a scammer. They also aren’t the same collection group that the hospital uses so why are they calling me instead of the collection group they use? This is a scam
