What a wonderful visit. The church is vibrant and on fire for the Lord. We were in town for the weekend and wanted to visit Elevation Church before heading home. Everyone we came in contact with was open and welcoming. It didn’t matter if we were there just for the day or looking for a new church home. We could feel the presence of God as we worshipped with other believers. Pastor Furtick made the Bible come alive and we left with a new passion for following close to God in these uncertain times. I would certainly make this my church home if we lived locally.

Extremely disheartening to see this church bulldoze such a large swath of forest on the corner of Six Forks and Strickland to capitalize on another mega church. Unnecessary spending of tithes.

I have been a believer all of my life (born & raised). I prefer a nondenominational church and when I learned that Elevation left the SBC in mid 2023 I was excited to give them a chance. The first service I attended I loved. Of course the worship is incredible. I will say that the speakers are very loud during the sermon at the current (non permanent) campus which is unsafe for younger ears and those with auditory issues. The screen at this campus is smaller than I would prefer for streaming into the main campus. The second service I attended felt very Baptist and almost Pentecostal. There were several times during the sermon where it felt like the lead pastor was about to start speaking in tongues. At one point I actually watched his eyes get wild and that freaked me out. The lead pastor gets really passionate up there every weekend meaning he begins yelling which may be overwhelming and overstimulating to some especially with the volume level. Also be prepared for the lead pastor to shamelessly plug his new book. This does seem like a great place to go if you’re questioning what this Jesus thing is all about or if you’re a new believer. The staff and volunteers are very welcoming. The congregation is very diverse. They could do a better job of being more inclusive of disabled people. Other than the volume, it is very dark in the sanctuary (auditorium) during worship. There are volunteers holding up flashlights to alert you of places to watch your step but if you are low vision, the worship experience may not be the most accessible for you. They do turn the house lights back up after worship. Be prepared to spend 2 hours with worship and the sermon!
