I usually always have a good experience with past recruiters, but CGT went above and beyond with my onboarding experience. They supported all of my concerns upfront. They always picked up their calls, recommended adjustments on resumes, and they all congratulated me when I received the good news. I get along great with their entire team and they are genuinely interested in getting to know you. One example worth noting- I forgot my physical credentials for my drug screening, one of their employees called and helped me create a new portal via phone call so I did not have to drive back the next day. Above and beyond helps us.

This is going to sound bizarre, but I was hired by these guys over a decade ago in 2013 (when they were simply called CompuGroup). I was hired on to work at the PNC data center in Robinson. A day before I was due to start, I suffered a car accident where a woman blew a stop sign and I hit her doing 40 MPH, totaling my car. I informed them of this and got a ride the first two weeks, but being as I lived over 45 minutes away I couldn’t get a ride long-term, so I got a job offer from a local business. I informed them (my point of contact with CompuGroup was a guy named Brandon Craig). He was understandably annoyed by this, but understood the situation. Later I get called and pulled into a conference call with 3 other individuals. They threaten me, withheld my pay for 6 months and laughed when I asked how that’s right for them to even do. By far the most unprofessional conduct I’ve ever experienced, even a decade later. The reason I’m posting this is that I found old pictures of my car accident and looked up to see if this company still existed and to my dismay it does, and based on other reviews with similar behavior over the years, I’m going to say they’re still the same group of apathetic scumbags that withheld someone’s pay for 6 months, meanwhile for weeks until I could get my paycheck (from the company who hired me closer to home) I had to survive off of the local food bank and my sick mother and father who had also been laid off in the weeks prior sent my wife home with food for us despite their own dire situation. There are certain things that you never forget, and I’ll never forget this. Never did I receive any kind of apology for such conduct.

I got a call for a job from them. After the initial call the person assigned to the job doesn’t even call me to further process my application. I have noticed a similar trend among other staffing agencies around the Pittsburgh area. When I was living in the Seattle area, I had no problems getting a job from any staffing agency. Once I found out the name of the company, I ended up applying on their site, and immediately got a response, and sent my resume.
