Does Brisbane City Council Building and planning department know what the word AESTHETICS means? if so does this form part of the current and future planning regulations (if not it should)
To clarify:
The aesthetics of a building is one of the principal aspects considered in architecture. The appeal of a building covers the combined effects of a building’s shape, size, texture, color, balance, unity, movement, emphasis, contrast, symmetry, proportion, space, alignment, pattern, decoration, culture and context.
It appears the owners of this new white elephant/Shed added to the front garden have had it built for the cheapest possible price ie: tin roof cheaper than tiles, walls concrete sheeting cheaper than brick veneer.
I would ask the readers to consider having a monstrosity (a thing, especially a building, which is very large and unsightly) built in their neighborhood even next door?
Why do we pay rates for such an appalling outcome owing to Brisbane City Building and Planning not controlling this type outcome.
Please note the before and after pictures attached. I feel sorry for the owners of number 19 who just purchased their property for $1,220,000 in January 2024 not knowing they were going to have a large white shed built right outside their house. This will if anything devalue property prices in this area.
The only winner here being Brisbane Council with double rates.
