I generally like this store. The price and selection is the biggest reason. Reminds me of Argonauts on Cap Hill.
Usually the staff is super helpful. On this occasion I caught the two cashiers sharing a private joke. The cashier behind me did something to make the lady that was checking me out choke on her water. which felt like it was aimed at me, as I was the only person at the registers. Probably wasn’t, but it was enough to make me feel uncomfortable.

Total Beverage is by far my favorite place to shop for beer, wine, and spirits! Not only does it have an amazing selection in each category, it also has knowledgeable staff who provide great recommendations and are willing to do their best to fulfill special orders.
But most importantly to me, Total Beverage’s rare liquor allocation system and annual rare liquor lottery are fair, equitable, and far superior to the way other stores sell highly desirable spirits (e.g., Molly’s, Argonaut, Applejack, etc.). Very much appreciate that Total Beverage rewards its loyal customer base and doesn’t charge secondary market prices!

Prices were a little higher than some other stores, but the selection was very good.
Edit: I ended up buying Planteray Double Barrel Aged Rum in the 1.75 size. I have only seen it priced higher at one other store than at Total Beverage. I normally find it for $30.99 or $31.99. Thank you.
