So often all we ever hear are negatives when people think they need to vent about something, whether accurate or not. Some professions, like accounting, have very strict codes of conduct so generally aren’t able or don’t respond to criticisms that they don’t deserve. In my first experience with this company I found them to be good listeners, provided honest answers to questions about my needs, friendly, and professional (even accommodating some extra time to the appt) for a thorough interview. I was very happy with my experiences at Birch Bay Tax & Accounting.

My husband and I have used Birch Bay Tax and Accounting for both our family and business needs for over 8 years.
We are incredibly pleased with how they have gone above and beyond to help with a variety of our needs, including straightening out years of mismanaged accounting from our previous accountant.
Cindy and Kristen do a phenomenal job picking their employees to be a part of this family run business!

I was told that they were able to handle US taxes for citizens living in Canada no problem. From our in person conversation, I wasn’t so confident that Cindy knew what she was talking about and am hoping there are no errors on the return.
Also the communication was pretty shoddy… I wrote to check in after a month because I heard nothing about if the return was sent or any information after our meeting.. then a couple days later a response that it would be sent to me by the end of the week. 2 weeks later I asked what the status is and then a week later finally the tax documents I wanted. This was all in mid summer.. After the tax rush. No real excuse for the poor communication.
