Discriminatory behavior experienced while working at Better Labor. When I requested a job letter, I was transferred to a supervisor ( Jay ) who displayed clear racist tendencies. She referred to me as one of the “Indian students” in an offensive and inappropriate manner. To make matters worse, she threatened to provide a negative review for me. This incident left me disheartened and undermined my confidence in the workplace. Additionally, my overall experience at Better Labor was unsatisfactory. Initially, I was told that my role would involve working with doors and warehouses. However, upon starting, I was assigned to a glass cutting factory without any prior training. This sudden change presented significant challenges and compromised my safety. Despite my discomfort, I tried my best to adapt to the new environment. Eventually, due to overwhelming circumstances and concerns for my well-being, I made the difficult decision to resign. I promptly informed Better Labor of my resignation through a phone call, but encountered difficulties during the disengagement process. I feel it is crucial to share my experience so that Better Labor can address these issues and prevent similar incidents in the future. Discrimination and inappropriate task assignments negatively impact employee morale and overall work experience. I firmly believe that every individual deserves a fair and respectful workplace environment.
