Was at a job where I almost lost my life. It was an uncertified by Osha Ladder set up, that led to the top of a three story building with no harness. I’ll admit, I shouldn’t have done it in the first place, but I was in a bind, and needed money.
But this is where the bad part comes; I told them specifically about the incident, and they didn’t do anything. Honestly, some poor sap could’ve fallen off after me in the future, heck one of their own temps, and it’d be another day for them. Also, they kept making excuses when I tried to get jobs for them, instead of telling me straight up, they didn’t want me to work for them.
This happened for a week, until I got tired and confronted them over the phone, and they finally revealed the truth. Why couldn’t they have been honest in the first place.
