Worked for them for 6 years, at HII/Newport News in Submarine new construction. After 6 years, with Aerotek; because HII absolutely would not hire me permanent, and never would say why, i got notified on a Monday in February, that Friday, Feb 21 would be my last day. I had to scramble to turn in 6 years of tools, turn over jobs i was doing or was involved in and other things. I departed that Friday. Aerotek; did not seem overly concerned that a long term contract employee was being layed off by the shipyard, and worse; the seem to think that “i” was the reason i got laid off? That was the attitude, and then two weeks after i was gone, i get a job offer-over 50 miles south of me, for less than i was just making, and reduced hours. I told them no, and was presented with the job two more times? Now, they have sent me an extortion letter; claiming that they over paid me and demanding money back, what i found was that this is a common aerotek tactic on former employee’s. 6 years of my life…….. Horrible, nasty and spiteful company that hates it’s hourly workers and makes ever excuse to demean and make you want to leave. Never, never work for these people-i spent 6 years marginalized, hated, demeaned, and oh NO Pay raise FOR 6 YEARS…..

I’ve been seeing alot jobs on indeed that aerotek is posting . I applied.to.3.or.I got a.call back that same.Day some girl saying how the were impressed by My resume and My work experience, all My osha certifications.We set the interview 1pm the next day I get there and we start the interview than after I fill out all there paper work and drove 25 miles the girl new.how far I had to drive and at the end if the interview she informs Me that all four of the jobs I applied for all the spots had been filled. The lowest pay that I would take was $19.50 an hr. S he than with smile.The only Jon I have opening for pays $13 an hr.$6.00 below the minimum I would take .Sense that day I have applies for 10 more jobs through them and mind you I’m more than qualified fir these jobs tons of experience in several fields If I get anything from them wich is rare the tell thanks for applying but we picked someone else .I think they discriminating against me because I am 53 can bot think of another reason. I don’t think this aerotek has very many contractors because I have never seen one and I have been there several times

I applied to a job NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD AND HANG UP. I’ve been calling back to back if y’all don’t have no jobs available take it off the website!!!! THE MAN TOLD ME THEY WERE GONNA GIVE ME A CALL WHEN I CAN START AND NEVER CALLED!!
