I remember taking my mom to do her application. A lady in the office had already informed us that I was not allowed to assist my mom with the application process. When my mom asked me a question in our native language regarding the application, I told her that I couldn’t help her. The lady then scolded me with an angry expression, insisting that I couldn’t help my mom. When I tried to explain that I was simply telling my mom I couldn’t assist her, the lady did not believe me and was very rude. She said it multiple times and kept looking over at us as if we were cheaters.
I understand that others may have misused the privilege of assistance, but as an employee of this establishment, she should not treat everyone with disrespect based on past experiences. I felt ashamed and bullied, both for myself and for my mom, especially since English is not her first language.
