I was employed with this company almost ten years ago. Yes, this is a late review but jobs today still trigger my experience working for this company. This company is the reason I never fully relaxed with jobs since. I was informed I could feel like a part of the family, that I am measured by the efforts of my work, my flexibility with picking up additional tasks, and handling and completing multiple projects. Daily tasks were completed and met with 100% accuracy. This wasn’t enough. Against their word of trust, I was reprimanded for leaving a positive review to our catering company while on the clock, eating yogurt at my desk while processing forms, and lectured without feedback for underperforming. I asked, “what can I do to improve?” Their response, “we don’t know, you just need to be better.” Then the micro-management occurred, writing an excel sheet and verbally communicating every action I took during my shift. Enough was enough so I put in my two weeks and they asked me to leave on the spot. To this day I’m reminded that when a work environment asks you to drop your guard, you can’t.
