Job Brief

As a Pediatric Audiologist, you will assess and treat children with hearing and related disorders, utilizing advanced audiological techniques and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include fitting hearing aids, providing auditory training, and conducting research related to pediatric hearing issues. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and hearing evaluations for pediatric patients.
  • Diagnose hearing disorders and develop individualized treatment plans for children.
  • Fit and dispense hearing aids, ensuring proper adjustment and functionality.
  • Provide auditory training and rehabilitation services tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal hearing health.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in audiology and participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Conduct research related to pediatric hearing issues and contribute to clinical studies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of assessments and treatments.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent qualifications.
  • State licensure to practice audiology; certification from ASHA or AAA preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and understanding child development.
  • Strong knowledge of hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and auditory training techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and their families.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using audiological equipment and technology for assessments.
