Job Brief
As an Oral Surgeon, you will perform surgical procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions to treat diseases, injuries, or defects. Responsibilities
- Perform complex surgical procedures on the mouth, jaws, and face to treat diseases, injuries, and defects.
- Diagnose and evaluate oral and maxillofacial conditions through patient examinations and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with dental and medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including pain management and follow-up assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during surgical procedures.
- Educate patients about surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of surgical procedures performed.
- Stay current with advancements in oral surgery techniques and technologies through continuing education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Active state dental license and board certification in oral surgery.
- Strong knowledge of oral anatomy, surgical techniques, and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
- Proficient in interpreting diagnostic imaging and assessing surgical risks.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases effectively.
