We are very disappointed with Earth Class Mail. We wanted to create an account with them as we don’t have a US resident address and still needed to receive mail while traveling. We oppened an account and then received an email notification saying we were non compliant due to our missing US adress, so we couln’t use any service. We went with another service and 3 months Earth Class Mail was still billing the monthly fee of our original plan. We contacted them to ask why, and they said even though we were non compliant and couldn’t use any service, the account was still open and therefore we had to pay all. If we quit the account immediately, we’d be refunded tje most recent payment. In their Terms of Service, which in my understanding is a legal agreement, they state they will immediately close the account (and hence not bill any more) if someone was non compliant for their service. In our case they didn’t hold up their part of the agreement, leading them to behave illegal as they would not return the fee of the already paid months, and their guy John just didn’s respond anymore, leaving us hanging.

This company is a joke. They deliberately misled me into believing I could get a virtual mailbox and “cancel anytime” only to forego telling me that I would pay a $50 fee upon cancellation, which was more than the $20 for 2 months I was paying to establish the mailbox to begin with! Had I known my “$20/mo virtual mailbox” would actually cost me $90 instead of $40 for two months, there’s NO WAY I would have used this service. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and ECM hasn’t even made an attempt to respond to BBB. This tells you everything you need to know about this company. Put your money elsewhere.

This company is a scam pretending to be a Grant writing company for colleges. Has continued to send me emails throughout the day from a mailing list that I had submitted for college info. Reported company and patiently awaiting for them to be removed from my mailing list. Please be careful.
